Gaaah! I'm sore all over! My ass hurts!
I went on this late night bike ride with a few friends of mine last night. It seemed like a good idea at the time until I discovered that one of my friends had only ridden a bike once before. I'd been told the ride would be slow but I wasn't expecting it to be THAT slow. Even though the temperature was around 2C (36F), barely moving around and waiting for her not to fall off the bike made the cold sink in deeper. I did on the other hand profit from the slow movement to take a few pictures along the way. A ride that would normally take us around 30-45 minutes to reach our destination took us almost two hours.
We stopped at a Tim Horton's for a few hot drinks and a meal, for some, but promptly had to leave if some of us wanted to make it in time to take the last train home. The ride back was even worse. She was tired and didn't feel like continuing. In the end, I left her with my friends and huffed back to the subway station it top gear. My thighs were on fire. Let me say that when I got home and made a tuna sandwich, it never tasted so good.
I woke up the next morning, today, to a series of sore muscles and neck. I hadn't slept much and had to wake up early for a meeting. I decided to skip my first Alley Cat of the season. Sadness I was kind of looking forward to it.
In other news, it's St-Patty's day parade tomorrow! Weeeee!
One more reason to drink in broad daylight and not get scorned at by concerned parents.
The weather people are predicting rain for the whole day. That'll make picture taking a slight bummer. I'll see if I'm up to the task tomorrow.
I'll leave you with this awesome Lego Star Wars Force Unleashed video. Stop Motion FTW!
