i've always thought that the little bubbles following schools of seahorses must make a noise like giggling.

i've been listening to african and indian music lately. i want to take voice lessons from someone who knows how to manipulate her voice in ways other than traditional european style operatic. ululating and all . trills and screams, leaping from tone to tone like a bird.

there was mist this morning. one lone tree stood like a huge thrown spear, with a few cornstalks who survived the harvest holding their ground against nothing, dazed. battling futiley against the winter, which comes like a beautiful and silent epidemic. the mist pooled in the clefts between hills, so the grass seemed to rise out of it as a seacreature's back from the ocean.

i need to start buying fashion magazines. W and in style. i like reading about "society." it's all so very literary - there's always a high society to watch, and people to write about it. and beautiful pictures to doctor up. i want to make more collages. it's fun to use textures in collages - the curve of a belly becomes the ravine on a mountain.. the bubbles in champagne become a spray of feathers on a hat. its' the way i always try to see the world - one thing morphs into another, seamlessly.

i need to take another set. nothing's in the queue for me right now. what kind of set do you want to see?

:wednesday edit: i'll put something for poetry day in here tonight when i get home. i've been missing the poetry day, and that's kind of sad.

I used to read a book all the time...I can't remember that it was called, it was all in watercolor and about a little boy who went under the sea and rode on seahorses..

The best word for you is "sublime." Being suspicious of it, I don't use that one very often -- but the word fits you just right. Mist pooled in clefts: that's you, too.
