I had to put my 18 year old kittie, Tigger, to sleep today. At about six am she jumped down on top of my dog and the result of that was a fight. She broke her jaw right down the middle. So I called the vet that I work for and rushed her right in... Unfortunatly, she was too old for surgery, and not a good canidate for it with all her health problems. (she has a severe heart leakage and thyroid cancer.) She was already delclining in health over her thyroid condition, and it was coming anyways. I just wish it hadnt been on a emegergancy baises. Well, The outlook was no good, The only thing I could do was put her to sleep so she wouldnt suffer. I am very sad and will miss her greatly. She was the first pet I ever had. I even remember going to see her for the first time, and peering into this cardboard box, and there in the corner was a little white and black fur ball. It was love at first sight.
Now what im worried about is the other two cats. How they are going to be without her.... one of them was like her "baby", she cleaned her and slept with her and played with her. And the dog, he knows something is wrong and keeps looking for her everywhere. I think he thinks he is in trouble.
This is not what I expected to be doing today.
