New favorite movie: Taxi Driver. DeNiro is my god, and the movie has this great "internal-ish narrative of one man going slowly insane", like American Psycho and The Machinist. I'm not really a fan of Scorcese, the pacing in him films throws me off. Also, Iwas sort of weirded out by the "acts of incredible violence engage a catharsis in the main character, then everything's cool" idea. Very male. Still, though, a great movie.
Woah. Scarlett Johansson is just a little bit younger than me.
Learned a bunch of new felting techniques today, which I want to use to make jewelry. If I ever get around to it, I'll start selling my stuff.

So what other films do you really like apart from taxi driver?
When I was at university, my hobbies included going for walks in the woods to look for plants and fungi (mostly to see if I could identify them and so that I got an understanding of what sort of flora grew in my locality - you'd be surprised what can be found growing even on roadsides and on bits of waste land) and talking about philosophy, science, religion and the occult (chatting with born again Christians was always good fun - "...you can't get to God with logic! You're surrounded by demons. I'm going to pray for you. I'm going to pray the demons away" muah hah hah!). These days I just sit around the house watching films and eating marmite on toast but every now and then I get my herbalism books out to see how much I can remember. I like reading. I still like to read non-fiction. Unfortunately, I often don't seem to be able to concentrate any more. I have lots and lots of books. Often, when I go out to buy someone a present, I end up seeing loads of books that I really must buy. Having bought the books and triumphantly taken them home, I generally read a few pages and then put them on one of my bookcases and leave them to gather dust for a few years before getting around to finishing them!!!

I hope that you do make jewelry and are able to sell it.
I will always have kind wishes for you.
