We had our huge design class presentation for Mother Courage and her Children this morning. Overall, I think it was successful (even though Phil didn't dig my group's idea). I'm starting to see the mistakes I make as the mistakes that every young designer makes. Being a good designer is, like Peggy always says, just a matter of confidence.

My artistic skills are getting better with every project. Lesley said some very warm and complementary things about my renderings, which makes me really happy. She's a fantastic artist and is going to be a great designer.

I take a great deal of consolation from the fact that even if I'm never a world-famous designer, I'd make a bang-up assistant.
