Well today has been interesting thus far..
This morning started out pretty average, slept in, had breakfast, read for a bit. Then I went down stairs...
Cleaning some furniture to be sold, and moving some garbage out for kurbside clean-up. I started to lift the shell of the old air conditioner, doing it properly, you know lift with the legs, keeping back straight.
I felt like someone had stabbed me in the lumbar portion of my back.
I dropped what i was doing and slowly and painfully made my way to the ground, where I laid there for about an hour.
First I called Jake Pooky56, to tell him what happened. The poor darling thought I had broken my spine, I knew I didn't otherwise; One: I'd be in agony even whilst staying still; Two: The Pain would be up my spine and down my legs;Three: I might not have been able to FEEL my legs; Four: The Pain was very specific.
Then I called my mum, she said I should call the ambulance, so with hesitant feelings, I did (ugh..)
So I waited to what seemed like forever, just laying on the ground, singing along to music.
Keep in mind, I'm used to be the person GIVING the help in these situations...
When they arrived they were very helpful, though I felt even more embarrased as they had two trainees with them, who were also very good, don't get me wrong.
As I said earlier, I like being the person assisting, not being assisted...
So here I am laying in bed slowly pumping myself full of pain relief.
PS: going to the toilet is an,.... Interesting exerience..

I was just about to give you a serve about lifting an AC unit by yourself...then I re-read and saw it was the shell, not the whole unit. Still...
Get well soon, hon. And hit those painkillers hard...legal high!
