My Braves lost in the playoffs. Again. And they did it in the usual way, getting my hopes up with two men on and nobody out in the ninth, failing to score and crushing what's left of my cold, black heart.
The really weird and horrifying thing about all this is that all my favorite sports teams do this to me, just about every year. Particularly the Spurs (playoffs just about every year since 1990, one championship). To a lesser extent UT (keep losing the big games). And lately, even the guys I could depend on, the Cowboys, have just sucked.
The world hates me.
And yet, I know I'll be back at the newsgroup in march, when pitchers and catchers report
. That's just the way it goes.

It was really dissapointing this year.. the new owners and the strong start. The only game I went to this season was definitely the best of the season though. I was at the D. Lowe no-hitter. First at home Boston no-hitter since 1967.
They are murderous to watch every year though. They always start sooo strong and then just gradually suck.
