I fell into you
longing for mother's arms
let you swallow all my noise
like mother's heartbeat
so cold it bit me.
I fell asleep in your wake
like mother's arms
with warm embrace
you pulled the anxious fists
from my belly.
When I awoke
wet and wounded
so grateful for the morning
we recalled with childish glee
our hand-made sigils and snakes.
Boys and girls again
skins peppered with stones
we left our love on the shore
and sunrise burnt our sleepy shadows
into yours.

I began writing again recently.
