sooooo sweet, this man at work got me a hunter thompson book for my birthday! No dirty scheme or plot behind the giving, just a thoughtful guy. This is funny for me, because a lot of the time he can't remember what he was just talking about but he remembered my birthday, and he remembered a conversation we had once about hunter (not that we didn't speak of him often when I worked in that dept- but a specific one)

anyway, awesome deal, he drew a parrot on a little piece of paper and put it in there too... we had a parrot inside joke in that dept... well, the 2 of us- no one would really talk to me over there except the R man.

in other weird fucking news, last week I actually witnessed a million year old person use the phrase: I'm not trying to jew you down... in a serious sentence. She was telling a framing guy she understood he couldn't do it for that price, but "that girl said..."
Uh huh, I bet there was no fucking girl... and I hate when people say I understand but then keep going explaining the other way of an understanding party.

-have been picked on by rednecks about new haircut
-am upset... because really I wanted the back cleaned up, and I was growing it out... into that cute mushroom cut ya know?
sigh, well...
mr p used to say...
ya know I like hair-dos... do whatever you want to it, it's not like a tattoo or something. I like hair-dos, ya know why? Cause hair grows back.

part of the reason I justified shaving off all my hair jr. year was that man. and his fantastic breakthrough thought (this did not however, keep my mother from crying)
