First my review ofIron Man 3 now for the real blog.
What started out as a really good weekend ended out pretty horrible. Let's start with the good part of my weekend. Earlier in the week I reconnected with a friend that I hadn't seen in 20 years. She was one of my first crushes and hearing from her out of the blue like that was pretty cool. After chatting over facebook I learned that she was recently separated and had a five year old son. I got invited out for drinks with some of her friends on Friday and I have to admit I was reluctant to go. As social as I can be here in the real world my PTSD sometimes holds me back from having a good time in social setting, like bars or concerts. But I agreed.
We started at a country and western bar and I was pretty quiet, I did eventually loosen up but we didn't end up joining the rest of her friends when they decided to hit a strip club. We did however go have some coffee and discuss the last 20 years of our lives and by the time I got her home it was around 3am. She even took a picture of us to commemorate the occasion. Good one of her not so much me, but here it is.
Then we come to tonight, and suddenly I don't really want to talk about it. It was disappointing but after reflecting on Friday it seems less important, and doesn't bother me as much. That seems to be what is important, keeping focus on the good things that happened.
So I will leave you with some nerd humour.

Ha, I'm just happy that the parrot didn't poop on me. But imagine the photo if it did...
Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that Ravenous will never see the FP, but I'll leave it where it is as a reminder that I have to and can do better.
Oh, and that's a great review. I'm looking forward to it even more now.
And best ass on SG? HUGE compliment! Thank you
