I wasn't planning on a blog for a while, things have been disheartening of late, and to top it all off I'm out of work for a bit got a nasty concussion at work smashing my head against the edge of a large elevated metal door. The headaches and nausea have been ongoing for the last three days. Just to make things worse, more bad news in Space news. Today Neil Armstrong died at the age of 82.

The first man on the moon, who uttered those words that inspired generations. "That's one small step for a man; One giant leap for mankind."
Words that I hope will continue to inspire all of us, words that will make us dream again and reach for the stars. Our greatest achievements came from the space program, lets celebrate science and renew our commitment to being smarter, better people, better human beings. Better to each other, better to the planet, better to ourselves.
I only hope this gets more than 5 minutes of coverage on the news tonight.
Godspeed to the stars Neil. Thanks for the inspiration.
For all my voting American friends, read this and please consider science in the upcoming election.
NASA is Embarrassing
Do it for Neil, do it for Sally Ride, do it for yourselves, and for the future generations who deserve a better world and new worlds to explore!

No luck, eh? Bad times.
Um as far as I know you either need to go via the ambulance service as a student paramedic or via university to do the paramedic science course. I'm not sure of the entry requirements for either I'm afraid but sounds like your courses will be equivalent to what we have!
