try checking out meetup.com its not a dating site but a site to find local groups.i know in my area there's a sushi group, kickball, dining out, book reading, dog walking group... a friend of mine told me about it when i moved to greenville last year and it was a good way for me to start networking and socializing in a new town. (the site is also free fyi)
and meeting new people that also share your interests is a good way to move on and move forward.
