Time for an update:
The snug is still jammed, must be the Christmas season eh?!
This week I have been so incredibly busy with course work, job interviews and moving. I decided sometime at the end of this week to place an ad in Loot to get someone to fill my place in my flat. I am off to live in a shared house with good friends, great music and very cheap rent. Life moves on without you, so I am moving on. I no longer harbor the desire to live on my own anymore and my best friend has offered me a room so I am taking it, fingers crossed I can fill this place before christmas!!! If anyone is looking for a bright, studio flat, with wood floors and high ceiling within spitting distance of the tube in central London be sure to email me for further details.
I went to The Ship and met up with some lovely SGUKers and bid farewell to the even lovelier Cakemix before she jetted of to the US.
I had a great time in the pub, but on the way home got very disheartened by the amount of insanely drunk people out and about. The drummer in my band commented on this to me at rehearsals on Saturday morning regardless of what time of the day you go out during the month of December there are tonnes of drunk people around. I know it is getting near to Christmas but this is insane! When I was going to catch the bus home on Saturday night, I witnessed scores of highly agressive people. Walking down Oxford street reminded me of mobs of drunken football holigans at an away game. What are peoples motivations to go out and act like pricks? Don't get me wrong for a second, I love to drink and on many (many, many, many) an occassion have been drunk in public but I have yet to get the urge to beat people to a pulp or spit at passers by. And I wonder why the government refuses to legalise marajauna?
Right, I am off to bed accompanied by a glass of red wine, a mince pie (see I am not all bah humbug!), an article on the controversy over a planned 3bn sea barrier to save Venice from disappearing and thoughts of my beautiful boy
Before I wake up tomorrow to start another week of madness.
Take care folks,
