I guess this blog needs a little back story. Friends of mine bid on a cottage that went to auction. The bank sold it because the original owner didn't pay the mortgage for a year and a half. The condition of the cottage and yard was terrible so I was contracted to build the kitchen, put in new flooring and gut the bathroom. I used second growth fir (the strongest softwood) to floor and do the kitchen and grey/black slate to tile around the wood stove and front entrance. The kitchen cabinets are 75% done and the flooring and bathroom are done (except the claw foot bath tub needs to hooked up in the bathroom. I'm pretty burned out I've put in so many hours in the last month. It's kinda remote so I've been the whole work force (with the much needed help of the home owners).
My pics are to big I'll have to re-format shit... I get them up soon.
