I know this homework topic is from a while ago but i have been trying to write it for some time. I haven’t done one of these in a long time so i will apologize in advance for being long winded or all over the place.
The first draft of this blog was started in late July but life got a little hectic. So without further adieu, here is “What i accomplished this year and what I hope to accomplish by the end of 2019”.
This year started out like many other years, i was trying to catch up on editing, isn't that always the photographers lament? My photo sets from the 420 Shootfest in Vancouver had just started coming out and it made me miss the beautiful west coast. So in late April we made the trip out again.
In addition to shooting sets with some old friends and new, @lita and I took some time to go hiking and enjoy the coast. Every time we go to Vancouver we find it harder to go home.
This year @lita and i celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary.
To celebrate we stayed in a 5 Star hotel in Banff for our Anniversary. This included a couples massage and we were faced with the all to pondered question, do you wear something under the sheet? I have no further comment on the situation 😉
The big accomplishment this year was having my first Set Of The Day with @mercury in Jackie tyler’s space fantasy
While @mercury and I were shooting our first set together we ended up on the topic of Dr.Who. We instantly bonded in our agreement that David Tennant was the best Doctor (let me know if you agree). So when she came to me with this idea it just seemed soo right. Clearly you all agreed with that, as it was SOTD on August 7th.
For anyone who has followed me since the start of my journey shooting for SG, you know that this was something I had been working towards for some time. The outpouring of love from my oldest SG friends was truly heartwarming and I really do appreciate every one of you.
So, the only problem with doing your Mid Year checkin late is that you have a shorter time to accomplish your goals for the rest of the year. My goal for the last “half” for 2019 is to TURN A HOPEFUL PINK. Having married a hopeful I know all too well the struggle they all go through. As always, I just like shooting photos that make the models feel beautiful but to help them accomplish their dreams would be so up lifting.
Thank you for reading to the end, and if you want to help me achieve my 2019 goal please check out some of my other recent sets to #helpthemturnpink
