Just woke up ... was up late last night chatting with some friends from school. Then went to bed and ended up having odd dream after odd dream. Weirdest one was one in which a girl from school who I have a slight crush on was working with me and seemingly was my gf. Funny thing is the girl knows I like her and she is flattered but she went through a really bad break up before school started and needs time ... so we're both just good friends.
I'm still worried about another friend, She called me yesterday in tears and wouldn't tell me what was wrong. I sort of figured it was something with her mom (who had cancer and had suffered some mini strokes in the past weeks). It turns out the cancer has spread to her mother's brain and the doctor's have given her three to six months to live. I really had no clue what to say ... I've never been in that situation myself so all I could say was "I'm so sorry to hear that" and "I'm here for you as a friend and if you need me to do anything for you, don't hesitate to ask." Is that enough?? Or should I have said something else??
In other developments, my ex gf has finally seen the light. I originaly blocked her on MSN but she promptly called to ask me wy I blocked her. Since then, it's been the occasional text message as well as regular phone calls to my house and cell phone. Well she chatted with me yesterday and told me that it would be best for her if we didn't chat for awhile so she could deal with things on her own. Which is exactly what I said almost three months ago when we broke up ... but at the time that seemingly didn't work for her. Well I'm just glad that chapter in my life is finally closed.
Just looked outside and it's sunny ... things can only get better with a start like that.

Those 2 phrases don't normally go in the same sentance.
Glad to hear that you are getting some closure, sometimes people don't seem to grasp what you tell them until they have come to the realization themselves. Then they think they got the bright idea.
