So the Boxer Rescue efforts are going mostly well. We think we found a food that works with his digestive system. It only took four different varieties which of course take a fair bit of money that we don't really have to spend. We'll have to mix the other stuff in to get rid of it without wasting it. He still needs a little help...

We've got our puppy! Pictures soon. He's a 7 month old Boxer pup. He's is about the most amazing little guy. So good with everything except the leash on walks. He's mostly amazing there too, but gets distracted and too excited pretty easily. We aren't his first family since we got him through a rescue organization. Apparently someone in his last family had a motorcycle....

I'm so excited. We are going to go pick up our new foster puppy tomorrow. I have a feeling that once he is here, he won't be leaving. It's four and half hour drive to get him, but well worth it in my opinion. I just hope he does ok with that long of a car ride.

In other news. I'm broke. Spent WAY too...

Thanks for the book suggestion, I think I will pick it up sometime this week and give it a try. Hopefully the library carries it!

Sun burn fading. Able to bend arms again. Feel a lot less like a zombie now.

My wife and i are doing the last little bits of picking up around the house before our "house visit" from a Dog Rescue Agency. Stephanie is really funny. She's been obsessing about this for the last few days as if we were looking into adopting a child. I...

I spent about five hours midday out on the motorcycle yesterday. I loved every minute of it, except for the flaming sunburn that I have on my arms. Lesson learned (perhaps). The worst part is that the insides of my elbows got burned and is incredibly painful when I bend my arms for anything, so I'm just not bending them. So in the meantime I'm...

Today marks the first day of a week of mostly no work. It's an odd part of my schedule here at the end of the school year. I still have places to be at specific times for the next few days. But it is more a matter of being present than actually doing anything. Then most of next week is completely off.

I'm hoping to...

Alas, my eyes find great beauty in trivial electronic purchases, at least some. I haven't bought many films lately, but there are so many I want to add to my library. I don't feel like those are trivial though, and you shouldn't either. wink

I like that your wife watches The Dog Whisperer and you don't even have a dog. If you folks ever find yourself in an animal shelter I bet you'll fall in love and have a new family member.

Yes, even though it's so expensive. Eric seems to be under the impression it's still cheaper than California, (we went there last month to visit his brother who just moved there) and I'm trying to tell him it's been a few years now since he's been home, at least two. But I'm trying not to fight it too much, I'd love to go. We could probably stay with some of his family members or our friends before we got a place of our own, and we probably wouldn't live in the best part of town, but he isn't from the best part of the island anyway. smile

So unbelievably hotttt. Even on the motor cycle today I was dripping with sweat. I can't stand it. I have too much of the Scottish Highlands in my blood. I need a mountain top somewhere to keep me happy.

Hey you. I haven't been on much at all, but it's nice to check in and see that people are thinking of me.

I haven't seen that film but I will definitely check it out. I love Walter Matthau.

I heard from my crack team of mechanics and my moto-cycle will be ready for the Saturday pick-up as I had hoped. I'm so excited! I feel like my three year old niece. She doesn't really understand her mama's pregnancy so to try to get the idea across that there was someone in there, her parents told her that maybe when baby Leo comes he...
