It done got cold again.
Went to Estoria 97 last night. That's not that exciting, except that today I found out that I'm friends with the guy who built the place. Now that's exciting (can you feel the excitement?).
Finally got to go to Raging Burrito again today. They closed the one in Midtown, which I went to all the time, because a stupid fucking chain piece-of-crap store called Moe's moved in right next to it and took Raging's business. People wouldn't know a good burrito if it bit 'em in the ass. Anyway, it was definitely worth the trek out to Decatur for lunch. And fuck Moe's!!
I spit on their face.
The reason for this is that chain restaurants take all of the character out of a neighborhood. They just turn them all into carbon copies of one another and that's just not fun. I need variety. I need character. Not predictability. I'm done.....for now.
Album of the Day = Yo La Tengo - May I Sing With Me (it just gets better everytime I listen to it)
I think I'm gonna put PJ Harvey - Dry on here as well. I started listening to it and now it's on repeat. It's a good album, so listen to it.....NOW!

i have a favorite mexican restaurant in illinois, that is actually owned by a greek family. but it is the best mexican food ever. but it's not a chain. in illinois where i'm from there is a mexican restaurant/fast food place on every corner, all of them ma and pop places. it's nice.
