Howdy to all my peoples of SGland.
I figure it's been about a month, give or take, since my last update so I shall bring this one out with added flair(Although I don't think I have recommended number of it, so sue me.)
All that's been happening in my life since my last update is pretty routine- Work a shit ton, and just have enough time off to take a few breaths and dive right back in, yay. My brother did fly out and spent memorial day weekend with us which was eh. As I've grown older I've discovered a formula for how long I can stand my brother without either A) Strangling him mercilessly or B) Drinking heavily to the point where my normal undercurrent of indifference rises to the top, which the formula is about one day of seeing per every year I haven't. It's not to say I hate my brother, but too much shit has happened between me, him, and the rest of the family when I was growing up to just sweep it under a rug and pretend it never existed. But eh, this is neither the time nor the place and I am waaaaayyyyy to sober for that talk.
Moving on, the latest goal for my working so much is that I want to start bring my awesome halfsleeve down to a full which I have successful, in working and saving enough to start the work. I go in on the 29th of this month to start the outline, and it sounds like my artist and I are both in a competition about who's more stoked, me or her. She's excited because it's a custom piece that she loves the idea of using the old school art as influence and making it more realistic, and that I've been pretty awesome in that I give her some rough parameters to work in, and she can use what she thinks is awesome for it. I've been rendered speechless both times I've sat down in the chair with her, and can't wait to see what she has planned next. Th only disappointing factor is that I wasn't able to start any sooner, as they've got a photo shoot of all the full sleeves the artists in the shop have done, but the date for that is on the 26th, so unfortunately, I won't be able to model the awesome awesomeness my arm will become.
Other than that, it's been the same ole, same ole- wishing I had a new job, and not having my dream job. I would love to work in some area that allowed me to BS with people and actually earn money doing it, but unfortunatey no such job has fallen into view for me yet, So back to working in my factory. yay.
I'll throw up pictures after my first session this round, so you can all see it. take care my SG peoples, and have fun, but not too much, the law frowns on that shit.
