Heeeeelllllooooooo to all out there- The sun is shining in the Northwest part of the US today, so I figures "What the hell, a new blog post sounds good."
Here goes-
An update on my last post- My grandfather is all good. He ended up getting a rental car and blowing dodge before the police could end up getting a trace on him. So he drove back home to his place in Florida, and last I talked to him, he was good, except for being a bit tired, and coming down with a cold.
So yeah, life in general has been pretty uneventful since then in these parts. I'm starting to go through my mental checklist of all the stuff I need to scrounge around for before I head out to Vegas next Friday. There isn't that much, just enough to make have to go searching.
On that note, I'm getting more and more pumped for this trip and meeting all the peoples. I think Vegas may never be the same after we're done there.
With all this sunshine we've been having lately, I'm getting more and more in the mood for having a get together at a park someplace with some peoples, and just drink some beer, hang out, maybe bbq and just generally have an awesome time. I must see if I can make this happen, maybe on memorial day or something.
On a different note though- I just want to say RIP to Adam Yauch AKA MCA from the Beastie Boys. While I can say that alot of different bands and groups influenced my musical tastes today, None had a bigger impact on my life than the Beastie boys. Growing around 10 years after licensed to ill made them famous, and became the first rap album to top the billboard charts, their music just could make me smile and nod my head along with it. You will be greatly missed MCA.
