Weeeeelll, here we go-
Well my plans for Friday pretty much stayed the same- went into downtown Portland, and got my ears stretched from an 8 gauge to a 6 gauge. About the only thing that really changed was what I had for lunch. Instead of getting some Lebanese food or pizza, I ended up going to this food "cart" (I use the term loosely, it's really more of a shack, with a service window) and got some Cajun/creole food. I had their fried chicken which was awesome-two honkin chicken breast strip fried up, had just the right amount of heat in it. It came with some mashed potatoes that had an awesome crawfish gravy on em. I also got an order of gator, since I haven't had that since I left Florida, and wasn't disappointed with that or the hush puppies. It made me miss some of the southern cooking that's hard to find done proper out here. On my way home, stopped and picked Denis Leary's new book. I suggest that book if you're in the mood for a laugh.
Saturday was pretty uneventful-just slept and relaxed the day away. Right now, I'm about to start getting ready for work, which I'm excited, somewhat, about. Three weeks of Jury service was a nice a little break from the place, but I'm ready to get back and become productive again. Besides, I miss my graveyard schedule of sleeping during the day, and working through the night. I won't have to spend so much on coffee now.
