during the grad school application process, you e-mail professors you think would be a good fit for you at any given program, right? well, lately i've been receiving really promising e-mails from professors. the thing is, they're assuming i'm applying to their phd programs which, in two cases, i didn't intend on doing because they don't offer clinical phds. i almost equally as interested in social psych, but if i were to pursue that track, i wouldn't be able to do clinical work. i'd be perfectly happy doing research and teaching, but i don't like that the option would be cut off for me. so, i don't know, do i re-evaluate and apply to those programs? or do i go on about things the way i was knowing that there's less of a chance of getting into clinical phd programs than the others (especially with my gre scores)?
