Met with the website guy, it went very well and we're going to do the project. It's basically going to be a web-based system to manage information about pieces of legislature and other related information for private lobbyists. It needs to be done by mid-Septemberish, and I'll be paid in installments over the course of the project based on progress. I'm also very happy because the dollar number I had in my head is also what he was thinking. He also gave me a couple hundred bucks for start-up costs(manuals and stuff.) I really look forward to starting on this, I actually get to apply all the random coding knowledge I have. That kicks ass because just "knowing how to program" is pretty useless, you really only learn by doing. Up until now I haven't had a way to apply any of that.
He also says that depending on how this goes, he might have more work for me in the future, including possible expansions to this project itself.
So yeah, Chris is happy
