It's Back
It as in my OCD trichotillomania, not that it ever left, but i somehow had maintained and not pulled for at least 6 months after the head shaving, Yes i shaved bald for 2 months straight so that's really 4 months pull free.
This dang thing will never leave me, actually I never really expected it to. but i got lost in the remission with hope i guess.
I have 3 small dime or nickle sized spots i have made and one sparse spot to boot.
It's not noticeable, but I'm in need of a cut this week for sure. It might show after my cut, but part of me doesn't want to try to hide it.
the longer my hair gets the more tempting it becomes to pull. Usually the summer is the best time for me since I'm usually busy. I guess I'm not busy enough to keep my hands occupied.
I'm beating myself up a tiny bit inside, of course I'm disappointed in me and my lack of control.
So i just made an appt for a haircut at the barbers.
I had told my barber the last time about my OCD.
Today i will go in and say hey i had a bad spell of pulling, and made some spots, cut it but try to leave a little so it's not majorly noticeable.
It's not exactly knitting season, but perhaps i start it up again now just to give my idle hands a chore.
Despite this emotional downer, I am really grateful that Monkey, My really sick puppy, has been battling GME, for 3 years, It's a brain disease. shes only 6, the steroids she has been on has taken a serious toll on her little body, and pushed her from 14 lbs to 35lbs, her joints are seriously taxed, has just been also diagnosed with a thyroid condition, this is good news, this means that she may drop some of the awful weight in the future and could at least have a better quality of life, like a puppy as sweet as her should.
