Friday the 13th and Valentines weekend.
OK here is the deal with this AWESOME image i just got back. Shot in Flatbush NY by Symon Chow. I call it "The Collector"
Oct 2008, I had the great pleasure of shooting in NY in Symon's Living room, where all of these awesome items created a museum like atmosphere. Wardrobe & styling done by me as usual.
if i remember correctly, when i walked into the apartment in a huff due to being late, I said don't worry were gonna bust this out in an hour tops, as I turned and looked at the mantel and was instantly giddy with excitement of his place and ecstatic that i was the first to get to shoot in front of it. This setting was a model and photographers dream.
So what's on my agenda this weekend.
I have a valentines dinner in NJ with some couples that we dine with a couple of times a year, we take turns cooking and or going out to a restaurant, It's 8 of us, all couples from work or at one time worked together.
Sunday i have a Valentine Brunch planned at the same spot as my Birthday dinner, 19 at the top of the Bellview, very swanky. I prefer to celebrate valentines day doing brunch for the past few years now.
less crowds, no pre fix menu, less expensive, sweet and savory at the same time, and still time to nap if i like, but this time were going to see Coraline after and then visit the new Lego store in King of Prussia mall.
I got Ant a t-shirt designed by Twinkie Chan/Twinkie SG and some candy.
I made it easy for him, i just circled what i liked in a jewelry catalog, Not aa very expensive one, I'm not like that, i would wear toy jewelry and it's fine by me. I placed the catalog in the bathroom for him, so it's was pretty much a no brainier, just buy something that i circled. I'm kinda past the surprises at this point, i would rather not stress him out and just get what i like instead.
I buy flowers for my desk weekly so I'm not really in need of any that are overpriced.
Lots of places are having Anti Valentines dinner menus, I think that is awesome even though i love V-day/Pink Christmas, I love the frilly girly pinks and whites and reds in the store windows, they tickle my girlish side.
If your alone this year, go and treat yourself to something nice, like a massage, a facial,a good meal a new porn, a new video game, a Movie anything that makes you feel content and happy.
