So much for my resolution that I was going to write regular blog entries, but I have been genuinely busy.

Work has dominated far too much of my time (undergraduate course validations (think turning supertankers)) and my interests and pastimes seem to be breeding like rabbits.

I've just come back from fencing, and the day after tomorrow I'm silversmithing and tai chi sword(ing).

I've now set aside the smallest room in the flat as a 'sculpture studio' so I can now carve stone without filling the place with lung ravaging dust (though it took an industrial grade respirator, and a dust extractor the size of a fridge to protect health and safety.

I've got a load more stone arriving at the end of the week (blue alabaster), which should hopefully tide me over into the summer.

What else? My book of Edgar Allen Poe's poem 'Ulalume' is coming along. Only one stanza left to print (on an 1850 Albion handpress), but only one illustration done so far. It's going to be November before I'm ready to start binding it.
