i jjust gor back from Ireland. I'm bloody knackered.

so how did we do?

see here:Bishopscourt Race Report

when i've caught my breath, i'll post some more
jimmyjoe:
wow....what an odyssey....still there's some good data to get from that race: the bike works well, no ? i mean firing 3 instead of 4 is an ECU issue, but it seems (from the report) that the overall level of the bike is good !

have a good rest !

jimmyjoe:
oh, yes, I finally spend a day aboard a 2004 Gixxer....man, that thing shouldn't be legal wink it's totally awesome and crazy...Such a bullet.....i wouldn't buy one cos I'm an italian twin lover but i can see why people think this bike is the shit....I just had problems with the suspensions numbing too much the feel of the road, but that's because i'm used to very feedbacky front end.....
great bike ! smile

well in 3 days time i'll just be getting off the ferry in Dublin on my way to the race track. We're qualifing on friday, Race on Saturday.

The Weathermen sounds probably too electronic for you (cf your faves bands) but it ain't techno. It's warped rock music played by synths, it's been described as Devo meets the Happy Mondays and they cover Einturzende Neubauten songs (Neubauten is a german band playing only with metal things found in scrapeyards...)

you can listen to musical (?) extracts on www.cdbaby.com/weathermen and if you wanna buy one it's rather cheap with post i think it would cost you about 15 Euros !!!!

I can't wait to try the GSXR...Last time i was on a bike was Laguna Seca innovember and I don't know how I can still go on with any withdrawal symptoms...

ok, got to start the day now smile ciao !

*shakes head* that sux! I know the feeling, but not quite on that scale.
Sounds like you have some serious problems with your riders though. Are they paid? do they pay? Sounds like they are on a good wicket either way, they should be maybe taking it a bit more serious/proffessional.
devilsplum:
Need another mechanic? I'm good at fixing stuff. hahaha..(actually you know I am)
Or.... I could be your new rider. wink Sounds tempting doesn't it?? I'm very light and have great endurance. woohoo.
Maybe I could use some training first I'm sure. biggrin
Things will fall into place, I'm sure of it. My fortune cookie says so. Stress is what keeps us on our toes and makes that "de-stressing sex" so good! hahahahahaha.....

Well its two weeks to go befire we race in Ireland. I'm getting nervous.

I'm really having doubts about one of the riders. last year he was great but this year its all gone "Pete Tong". i suspect his clinically depressed GF is the route of his problems. how hum.

Everything is in place for the race, I'm just waiting for all the suppliers to...

The new bike is approaching completion. the fairing fits, the suspension has been sent off for work and i've just spent 2500 on racing bits from Harris.

I took it for a test ride at Rockingham this weekend. Oh my god, if my lads don't kick some ass in the next race in Ireland i'll be pissed. the bike is just so quick and light...

How much do you think all that'll cost me? And,...wanna go? I'll need a devilishly handsome tourguide with crack smart wit and the ability to keep up with me! biggrin kiss
I'm serious, this could be fun...
devilsplum:
I wish I hadn't missed ya, it would have been fun to talk. I came into my room for just a bit, typed you a message and then and went to drink some extremely cheap sangria...yuck!! I wasn't impressed.
As for the cockney phrase, that's purely ME. My family's background falls on English grounds, so I guess I was reaching deep into my heritage. haha..
Unfortuately now I don't HAVE anyone to reach into my heritage for me... frown
If you wanna ever message me or chat, I'm on MSN messenger. If you don't have it, get a free hotmail.com account and go from there. It's easy and I'm always signed on when I'm on this blasted thing.
I'm switching hotels today and going to some museums here in Houston to see what the city has to offer, but will probably be on my time this evening around 9ish. I think that is about 3 am for you frown
I hate to ask you to stay up late, so if you feel compelled to chat, I'll more than likely be here on MSN, or even SG. Just send me an email.
Talk to you later.
Cheers. wink

Not again mad

we were 3rd after two hours, and then one of my riders just threw it away. he's got two broken ribs......serves him right, he was so off line going into a corner called cascades that he locked the front end up.

I really felt that this race would go well for us.

oh well, you can't make an omlette without breaking eggs. smile

I'll...

I was thinking drag, but would love to race on a track and not just in a straight line. It's all new to me, the extent of my racing is revving up at a light and challenging someone to go. How do I get a racing license? Is there an application or does someone have to sponser me or what? I'm so completely clueless at the moment but this is something I've really dreamed of for a long time, just never had the chance to do it. I figure why not now?? I've never rode enduro or offroad at all. I'm contimplating buying a new bike when I come back from Iraq this time since I will have the cash to, but don't really know what I want. I have a bike to ride around town and go on road trips, but not for just racing. I have a Harley but before I bought it was considering getting a Kaw zx6r. I figured the Harley would make a good investment and would sell it later to a German(lived in GE) and make some dough. Didn't do it though and now that's what I ride. I've been looking at all sorts of bikes lately, but since I'm not sure what's out there, i don't know what would be best suited for me. I would like this bike to either be a good offroad bike or a fast street bike for hitting the curves better than with what I have. I'm not really sure though. I guess suggestions are in order since you are in the business. Have any? I love all kinds of bikes, don't care about appearances and want maximum performance, speed, and versitility. Who doesn't want that right?
I am 5'5" and weigh 130 right now. I hear the smaller you are in the racing scene, the better. Is that true? I have friends that race late model cars here locally and on the circuit, but don't know anyone who races bikes. Plus, even though I smoke everyone I've raced, I wouldn't even know where to begin to get serious. Does this even make any sense? It's about 2 am now...
Grrrrr...I don't even know what kinda questions to ask you. Basically I'm a super beginner. Point me in the right direction, oh master..... biggrin

Man that sucks. On the plus side this luck can;t last forever.
