Ya know...i really hate reading about all these cool ass SG events going on that i can't make it to. And don't have a snow ball's chance in hell of ever making for the next ten months at least. Oh well...i'm out here to live my life and find something of myself so maybe it's for the best. Or maybe not. At times, this place can bring out the worst in me At other times i can't believe the shit i'm doing. I just want it to work out here, but i've come to realize that won't happen unless i make it happen.
Instead of bitching about work (and at times i feel i could write a book on it) i need to figure out how i can work with the system and succeed. I've also realized some other things out here about myself and have made some interesting revelations. I just don't know how i can follow up on them and/or improve myself. I guess baby steps or something.
Update to brighten this up a bit: Singing Happy Happy Joy Joy! with a group of kindergartners is pretty damn fun. As is playing Musical Chairs to the Aquabats. And wearing Dropkick Murphys and Ramones T-shirts to class too.

Hell, if I wasn't in penny-pinching mode, I'd volunteer for another tour to knock out the remainder of my contract. But then, the idea of having to go back to base at midnight (lest I turn into a pumpkin and go to jail) kind of sucks.
My problem was that, being stationed in Osan/Songtan, there really wasn't much around I could escape to (Pyongtaek not being that much of a hot spot). Yeah, I had my Hongdae weekends (ah, Stompers), but, man, those Sunday hangover bus-rides back to Osan a pain in the ass!
