Ugh...had a job interview today and i think it both sucked and blew. The prinicple of the school spoke no english and the supervisor spoke only broken English...though apparently enough to recognize my last name as Polish They asked me questions and didn't give me a chance to answer any...said they thought my height would scare children (though in reality they love it and see it as novel) then said my face was too dark for proper story telling (FUCK that!!! ) Even if they offered me a job, i would only take it were that my only option.
On to lighter stuff...Korean music sucks. Take all the shitty poppy, crappy, love songs produced by todays most popular artists in the US, remove the worst parts and combine them in overproduced studios and you get Korean music. God..even their Rock sucks...cheesy 80's metal riffs with disco-dominatrix fabulous wear and presto--Korean Metal. The only stuff that's tolerable is that stuff made in Japan and playing here--you can tell that stuff because it's all asians with very modern sounds and Korean subtitles. China sure as shit ain't producing modern pop, so it's gotta be Japanese...i guess. Now, i said it was tolerable...not that i like it. Got that? Good.
The subway...Well, i've never ridden a subway before believe it or not. Pittsburgh has the trolley, but that's not really a subway...it's 95% above ground and there's only 4 lines to take so it's not confusing at all. This system here can be. I have to follow the few signs in English to even figure out where i think i'm going. The confusiion is compounded by not know the direction i'm in underground. I have to duck through every door in the subway cars as well...i'm sure some day i'll knock myself out when not paying attention.
So, needless to say, I'm having a somewhat rough time here. I'm pretty pragmatic about it though and just take it as it comes with resignation to accepting the tings i cannot change. Though i must learn at least how to read Korean if i'm going to succeed here.
More on the adjustments later...have fun peepz.

Thanks for the comment on the pics, I hate every pic that's ever been taken of me but it's nice to know people actually pay attention.
Peace.
