I should update this thingamajig more often huh?
Well, Christmas was okay this year. It's usually depressing seeing my basket-case sister, but from what my mom wasa telling me about her, i was expecting the crypt keeper to show up for presents. Instead, a Jerry Springer guest showed up. Thank god for small miracles? That said, seeing my nearly 2 year old niece was AMAZING! She's soooooo goddang cute and calls me by name Uncle Dan and tries to lead me around by my big finger everywhere. She's so tiny that she can just get her hands around my big finger...it's adorable! I love her to pieces!
New Years was pretty rad. Getting shitfaced with my best and oldest friends was super.
Overall, i haven't seen nearly enough family and seeing more friends would be swell. It's pretty boring being back here with no car, no job, and friends all working. To alleviate boredom, i've taken to compulsive shopping. So far, i've bought 15 CDs, an xbox360, a couple of dvd movies and four box sets of seasons and numerous clothes (at least i can find my size here!)
Being back is good though. Keeping in touch with old friends and reminiscing about old times is fun. We're all getting older now, but we can still get together just like i haven't been gone for most of the past 2.5 years. It's also good hearing the compliments about my weight. Apparently i haven't lost a lot of weight, but i've gotten rid of quite a few inches and it's gratifying to know the hard work is visable.
This week, i'm heading to Toronto for a few days. I'm pretty pumped because i'll be visiting one of my favorite people from Korea in her home town. I'm also pumped because i'll be traveling somewhere again. Anybody got any tips of places to go and things to do there?
On the 7th, i'm going to California to visit my bro and anotherr friend from Korea. While there i have to get my temporary passport renewed into a permanent one and then get my Korean work visa stamped on it. A lot of leg work but it's easier to do it there, than here.
Then, on the 21st, i go back to Korea for another fun year of corrupting the kiddies with my Western ways
I get back and then have to pack up my apartment and move to my new apartment, then start my new job on March 2nd.
