I Got My Geek On and My Shop On Mhmmm Mhmmm
This weekend was great!
Today, I saw the actual Millenium Falcon! The real one used in the movies! Damn me for not having my camera with me. I also saw one of the actual Star Destroyers and tons of costume and set pieces. There's a Star Wars Art and Science Exhibition in Seoul now through March and today i went to it. It was freaking awesome seeing the actual costumes and light sabers (they had Alec Guinness's and Darth Vader's!) and everything from the moives. There was too much shit from Ep I-III though.
I discovered some neat stuff about the moives. For instance, the matte painting used to show the entrance to the second Death Star actually has a small inside joke painted into it--the Trans American buildiing in San Francisco! Haha. It was neat seeing that. They also had orginal concept models of the Death Star and other Star Destroyers (boy am I glad the concepts evolved as they were pretty lame looking!)
I saw the full outfit used to creat Chewbacca (did you know the hair on Chewies body is actually yak hair?) I finally got to compare myself to him in person. I have been called Chewbacca in the past because of the height thing and i can no see Chewie is quite a bit taller than me.
I also finished my Christmas shopping (save for one small thing for my niece) this weekend. Thank god that's done! Now, I'm pretty broke after paying the $1700+ for the plane flight home (6 days away from now baby!!!!!) and buying all the stuff for the family. I also don't know how i'm going to fit all the gifts plus cllothes in my luggage! This is still a surprise visit home (my mom and dad think i'm coming home in January, but i'm not) and the other day i got an email from my mom saying, "I'm really excited about you coming home in January. At least you're letting me know this time so i won't have a heart attack!" Muahahahahaha I''m evil, EVIL!
There was also a pretty good Christmas party full of a few people i haven't seen in a lonnnng time and some new people that turned out to be pretty cool as well.
That's about all that's fit to print folks!

I thought the DC reference had to do with your passport.

I just had to deal with the presents vs. clothing dilemma myself, I'm flying home tomorrow. I ended up dedicating an entire suitcase to stuff for other people
Have a safe flight and a great trip!
