So, ideally, i'd like to meet a cute veggie, geeky girl. We'd have kids with names like James T. Vader or O'Hura Leigha or Jean Luke Chewbacca or Han Solo Spock or "Bones" Bobofet. And they'd be tough enough to own the names and not get beat up for it. Me and this imaginery girl would quote Monty Python to each other while cooking wonderful meals together and be able to snuggle up in a warm room and read sci-fi or fantasy books with each other.
Sadly, I'm not holding out much hope for finding this woman here (Korea) or maybe just in general.
In other news, I'll be home in 17 days--18 if you count the rediculously long flight. I'll be spending approximately 6 or 7 weeks there (maybe up to 8 if i decide not to come back early.) It will be nice being home again, but it will also be extremely boring i think. Therefor i plan to take some trips and cash in some frequent flyer miles.
Trip 1--San Diego for maybe 7-10 days. My bro and his family live there. They also have a place within a block or two of the beach and have an ocean view from each of their three decks (must be nice to have money...but god knows they've earned it). From here I may rent a car and take a side trip to either LA for a night or two or out to the Grand Canyon--whichever seems more doable. I'd love to hook up with some SG peepz while i'm out there. Lord Knows I miss shooting the shit with other peepz about this site...the good, the bad, the ugly, etc...
Trip 2--Toronto and Montreal (both or maybe only Montreal) I figure i'll stay about 7 days in Canada just chillling (well probably freezing at it will be Canada in January). Here, I will be visiting some of my favorite people I've met teaching out here who are now home in the Land of the Maple Leaves.
In teaching news, i've noticed a few odd things. I have a 5th grade student with more grey hair than my 55 year old father has! I've heard it's due to the stress parents put their kids under in this country but who the hell knows. Some of my students have dishearteningly bad english skills. More than a few of my kids today couldn't answer the question: "How are you today?" They gave me this horrid expression like they've never heard English before. I shouldn't be that upset about it though. I teacch nearly 500 students and I onoly have my 4th graders for 40 minutes a week. This is not enough time at all to make any kind of real impact. Still, it kinda sucks to have taought some of these kids for nearly a year and them having gotten nothing from it. But, i guess you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.
Edit:
Also, i have finally broken down and surrendored to the gods of hideous, busy design layouts (no, not SG 4.0). I'm talking about MySpace. That website gives me headaches (most customized pages look like pop culture vomit and explosive diarrhea that hurts the eyes and offends the art appreciator in me)...and makes me feel inadequate. Apparently every fucking 13 year old girl can figure that damn website out, but i felt like a caveman staring at a rocket ship util i started figuring out how to navigate the site. It is definately not well designed or user friendly. Additionally, what in the bloody hell is up with all the error messages and "routine maintenance" messages i'm getting? Jesus Lord of the Dance Christ....who coded that thing? Corkey?(Ok, i'm an awful person for making that reference). Still, it's useful for keeping up with my real life homies.
Check this hizzy out if you dare!

And yes, kwizzle did miss the best part, but that just adds to the humor of the evening.
No, I don't really say "bahhhh," unless it's in the vein of gentle mockery. I'm from Oklahoma, y'all.
I must meet the tallness someday. I should also probably see that movie!
