Summer is grand. Yesterday I went to 'work', which consisted of me and the head of the biology department going out for a sushi lunch. We got shitfaced on hot saki and ended up hanging out in the parking lot smoking cigarettes and talking about cars and making fun of yuppies. Who says scientists are boring?

Last night I watched Big Fish, and I'm a little embarassed to say it left me weepy. I was a mess, actually. I can't really explain why, except to say that there is a place for magic in my life, and it is not being filled. I miss my sister. Meh...
