no salaried position for me...suck suck sucky suck. but at least i got that raise and it turns out i'm NOT actually an assistant manager, though i can apply to be one and get like another 50-75 cents an hour, IF i get it, after i re-submit my resume and go through ANOTHER interview. yippee. meanwhile the new manager is making a livable wage and going to "manager's meetings" which tend to end late and with him very hung over. wtf. today i was even telling him how to schedule HIMSELF to make a certain day run more smoothly.
if i end up having to move out, and stay in this crappy town where no one above me at my work appreciates all the shit i do at the store, and waste all my savings on an overpriced hole of an apartment, then i'm going to room with my totally awesome coworker Jules. how awesome is she?:
- we're seriously contemplating getting shitfaced and going to see Bob Saget do stand-up, and then we'll probably flash him and have him sign our boobs if we don't get thrown out in the cold.
- she matched my enthusiasm for the Sesame Street Old School dvd set coming out next week.
- she and i totally rocked out mega-inappropriately to Bauhaus today at work...the manager was basking in the somber gothiness so i did the monkey and Jules did a rad bobblehead-type dance.
- when she had a radio show on the local college station, she'd show up drunk and say the fifth caller would win a surprise. often, that surprise was whatever she had on hand, as in the uneaten half of her banana muffin.
plus, i AM desperately in need a female friend (within my general area) that i can go and be stupid with. my other ones are too politically-conscious to fill that role.
i have to go get bus tickets tomorrow. anyone know if you can buy Greyhound tickets at AAA? the website didn't seem to indicate that they did, but my mom suggested it. she's usually wrong, though. i just don't want to go half an hour each way just for bus tickets. plus i really didn't want to go all that way in the pouring rain tonight, so i put it off.
in other news: i don't hate She Wants Revenge. i thought i would since people were, you know, buying it pretty steadily at the store for a while. but Jules played it and i dug it. i sure as hell won't buy it but i don't HATE it and sometimes that's as good as it gets.

i'm actually thinking about ditching alot of stuff, maybe on ebay. you accumulate so much, and then it's like, what's the point?
