i made chunky monkey cookies last night (mashed banana, huge chocolate chunks and walnuts). i had to improvise a little but they fucking rule. as far as i'm concerned, when it comes to cookies i can do no wrong. fear my baking powers!!!
i had a really weird, kind of cool dream last night. i was at work and a girl came up to me and asked if i would come help her feed her pet tarantula. the girl's name was Andy, but i don't really know anyone named that and the girl was just a random teen gothy chick with long dark hair and wearing a black trenchcoat. in the dream it was winter, kind of blizzardy outside and i was sick with a cold or something. after reminding her that we were a record store and i didn't know anything about tarantulas, she said "come on, i only live like a block away, and i think my tarantula might be sick" so i told my coworker i'd be back in a few and headed out into the cold. we wandered down the street and talked about her tarantula for a while. we kept walking and talking and we were way more than a block away from the store. eventually she said "this is where i live" and led me down a small tunnel-like path in the woods on the side of the road. no driveway or anything, not that i could see. we entered a little door at the end and came out in what was like a huge, barren field (though no plants grew there, it was all packed dirt or something), with lots of industrial piping and valves and stuff on the wall where we entered. she offhandedly mentioned that there was a strip club or something over there (over where? secret rooms what???) and then i noticed the "ceiling." it was high with support beams, but instead of an actual ceiling between the beams, there was what looked like swirling clouds in red and orange, and i knew it was a force field to block out the sun. i said, "wow, i didn't think those really existed," and Andy said "yeah, my dad had it installed for my birthday yesterday." far off in the distance was her actual house, but i didn't get to look at it well or go inside, since i woke up as we were walking across the big expanse of her pseudo-front yard.
that was probably a boring read, but i fully enjoyed that dream, and seeing the force field/ceiling thing was very, very cool. plus i like the fact that she asked me to come help her feed her pet tarantula out of nowhere. oh crazy brain, please keep making weird dreams, i like them.

that dream sounds amazing, i can barely remember any of mine anymore. force fields, everyone should have at least one!
