i've given in. i officially adore Regina Spektor. i was on the fence for a while, but she's too cute, and her songs are so weird and catchy.
in other music news, i'll be seeing The Knife when i go to New York. well, we have tickets to a show....who knows if they'll really play though.
and in regards to Gogol Bordello's latest album....we each have that picks thingy at work where we can put any cds we like up there, under goofy Polaroids of ourselves. i have that particular cd up there and my newest coworker (who is THE BOMB and i love her to death) said to me today, "hey, a friend made me listen to that yellow shit on your picks and it's fucking awesome."
EDIT:
oog, how weird....i got an email at work from the guy who manages the warehouse, who was the manager of my store before the one who just left. he seems like a great guy and for some reason was really supportive of me going for the management position, and sent really nice emails to me when i didn't get the job. i've only met him once in person, though (well, since i've been working there, i'm sure i must have met him when he was managing the store before but that was years ago). the email today basically said that he liked talking to me on the phone and stuff and that he would be in town tomorrow afternoon and would like to take me out for coffee or food and we could talk and stuff. which is nice...but rereading it struck me as "uh-oh, does he want a DATE???" i can't make it anyway since i'll be out of town, at my boyfriend's house, no less, the entire day. i just sent him an email saying thanks for the offer but i won't be around. i talked about it a lot with one of my coworkers who worked with the guy in the past....he thought it was as weirdly ambiguous as i did.
oh well.
we'll see how this goes.

maybe someday i'll see Maine. Portland, Oregon is a pretty nice place, though.
