i didn't get the promotion.
mostly i feel bad for my coworker who was going to become assistant manager if i became manager. i hope he doesn't leave. i probably will look for a new job sometime in the future, now that i'm aware of the HUGE gap in pay between assistant manager and manager. plus i'll need a new place to live in about a year, when my family moves. so i should be saving more (of course, if my grandmother would give up her never-to-be-realized hopes that i'll someday go to college and just GIVE ME MY TRUST FUND MONEY, i wouldn't even have to work, at least for a while).

maybe you could try college just so you could collect the green!??
i once did the Denver/Boulder commute for about a year, and it sucked. even if i had had a car, i think it would have gotten old.
yeah i went to college for like 5 years and never graduated. the only reason i went was because i got a scholarship. it's amazing that i didn't flunk out. in retrospect, i'm glad i went, because i ended up doin' the record store thing which i always wanted to do. hah, big dreams, huh? now i can't do anything else!
congrats on 5 years, that's impressive!
