why do i sometimes crave sushi, even though i don't like it? i guess i could try it again sometime. i've only ever had it once, and i was much younger, but i KNOW i hate seaweed. the saltiness...yuck.
i just got back from a big family thingy over the weekend. i am sunburned in random spots on my arms and back. also bugbitten. it double-sucks because when i go to scratch the bites, it hurts more with the burn. yikes. it was nice to see some of my relatives though, especially a cousin who is probably my favorite. he and i never really spent any amount of time together because when we were younger the age gap was pretty big, and then he moved to the midwest so ddin't make it out for much family stuff. but when another cousin got married a few years ago we were both there and got to know each other and he's great. so we spent some time talking this weekend and are going to stay in touch and then the next time he takes a trip it will probably be up here, so yay! and i have no idea when his daughter got to be 8...jeez. it was nice to see my other cousins, too. and aunts and uncles and whatnot. before we left most of us went to the hospital to see my grandmother, who may or may not be on her deathbed. she was feeling pretty well today and was herself, so that was great.
i'm not particularly excited to go back to work tomorrow, especially since it's a Monday and i really hate Mondays there (new releases, yuck). but i'll live. i just wish this sunburn would stop being so uncomfy.
i have to talk my boyfriend into going to see the new pirate movie later this week. one of my coworkers wants to double date with us and his girlfriend, and we decided going to see the pirate movie would be fun. i'm absolutely going to see it in the theater at some point. i saw the first one in a theater with a friend. we have to dress up piratey, though. ideally we'd be swiling rum but we no longer live within walking distance of a theater so there goes that idea.
i have to get down to the mall sometime soon to pick up a Davey Jones action figure. he's fucking SWEET and i needs him for my toy collection. he's all squidface lobsterclaw guy up in here. you cannot argue with this:
