new york is a fucking beautiful city. i wish i could have stayed but the other ride i found wouldn't have gotten back in time for my brother's wedding. anyways the protest was amazing there were supposedly 500,000 people in the streets for the march. A lot of people asked me what i expected to achieve by going to this and i guess the best answer I can give is to show the world that many Americans are not aligned with our government, and to show americans that John Kerry is not the only alternative to Bush's agenda, but that resistance is an alternative as well. After seeing the papers today I feel we did a great job at accomplishing that.
Afterwards me and my friends went to central park, it was overwhemlingly large and beautiful. We climbed up on a large rock and sat in the late afternoon under the shade of trees and relaxed for the first time since we boarded the buses to new york, we all agreed the trip was worth it.
