Pirate Bands Rule! On Saturday Captain Bogg and Salty once again proved themselves the masters of the Portland Seas. And my main man Hansel kept me from making an idiot of myself while drunk. Mostly. YAAR.

Saturday was awesome. I knew things were getting good when it started raining (this is August right?) but it just got better. It's way too hot. I'm tired of cable. Just spent 3 hours tending the pot of future dreams. Tomorrow I am driving to Seattle to visit my grandfather in the hospital. What more can I say.

Today was a big shopping day. I bought cool new shoes. Shoes are way tooo expensive. But at least these are cool. We made vodka infusions this weekend. We made watermelon, pineapple, lemon, ginger, and basil. They look pretty awesome. Won't know for a week though.

It is way too hot to sleep. God help me tomorrow.

I helped a friend move today. I am sooo tired. If it wasn't hot I would be soaking in the bathtub.

I just saw Harry Potter! It's pretty fantastic. The details are amazing. The whole thing starts off really darkly like the book - it's not strictly a feel good film or a Disney ride like some have felt to me. Even the credits are beautifully done. I always think Snape should be a little more of a powerful personality but that is a small complaint....

I just talked to an old friend. She is in town. She lives in Hawaii so I don't see her much but we are getting together and going to the Saturday market this weekend.

Sunday night I went to a wedding reception and drank far more than any reasonable person should ever do. It was a lot of fun and I had some great company. But I feel pretty poisoned and I am still trying to reconstruct the evening. The groom's father was basically pouring whiskey down our throats. Not that I resisted... shocked .

I hesitate to say igrowth necessarily. I would more put it as:

Living alone is great but it always had a shelf life. Without Sis across the street and Devo out of the state it just seems silly to pay so much to live here.

I like living with people even though it feels like it's hard finding people I get along with. I need the compromise. I need the cooking for other people. I need the occasional drama. I need reasons to leave my room. I need reasons to clean up after myself. surreal

I'm only really worried about the volume I generate and the amount of space I require.
