i'm sorry the journal has been so terse and unhappy lately. something sad is happening.
but, i hope you don't avoid it here because of that.
tonight, i was treated to a forty dollar meal at a restaurant in seattle. an author came to town to schmooze the local booksellers, and the folks in my events department and i went out to schmooze back. nice woman. kind of a chick lit book, whatever that means. i had beer, steak (sorry vutek), and chocolate.
and oysters. on the half shell. actually, not terribly good oysters. but, i've developed a taste for them. kevin canty has a nice scene in "into the great wide open" about a boy having oysters for the first time.

New York. ... I don't know. I hate winter so I don't have a lot of good things to say right now. Get back to you on that one sometime in the middle of June.
Oysters are good, mussels are my favourite from that 'area' no... maybe garlic shrimp. mm. shrimp.
