I was up at 6am today, i've been a bit ill and this has got my sleeping patterns all over the place. Anyway since i am up im gonna blog some
Wonderful things are happening in America or at least i think its wonderful. I know its only one step further along in the process but i am really hopeful that this will get sorted sooner rather than later. I know im not American, but i have my opinions about the health care system there and they are not good. Also i have my opinions about the lobbying system over there. Basically it just makes me angry that people are trying to stop this bill being passed, and it makes me sick that the richest country in the world seems to be claiming that this bill is too expensive when its still a long way off the state provided health care that a lot of countries in Europe take for granted. The idea that one human being would not help another because they cant pay for it makes me very sad indeed. Vent over
Anyway the Christmas adverts are in full swing, i dont get that excited about christmas anymore but i still really enjoy the time of year. I guess being unemployed is kind of like my christmas experience, i tend to get drunk and fall asleep on the sofa... see the following evidence from last year...
I got my parents presents already, i got my mum 'Planet Earth' on DVD because she is always saying how much she wants that, and also a book called something like 'a world without bees' which, much like ronsil quick drying wood preservative, does exactly what it says on the tin. She is always banging on about the plight of bees, and she likes gardening and keeps threatening to get some bee hives so i figure she will enjoy reading that. Got my dad the Will Hay collection, which are a load of black and white films from the 30s or 40s. He is gonna be 80 next year so he is pretty old and they are what he grew up watching i think, or at least they were what i grew up watching because of him so i really enjoy them too. Here is a clip.
Im quite looking forward to getting to watch them all again.
I watched Sleepless in Seatle last night which was awesome, its one of my favorites. Tom Hanks is such a good actor, i really want to write him a letter telling him so im sure he would appreciate that.
AND NOW SOME MUSIC!! i got Spotify and have been listening to some old skool classic tunes like fleetwood mac, alien ant farm, incubus, jimmy eat world, head automatica and other bands that make me feel like im 14 again. Its nice and comforting to listen to these bands
Anyway these are just some others i am enjoying re-visiting at the moment.
My best friend Tom is going traveling with his girfriend Tracey on friday. He is leaving on Friday and i am going to miss him like fuck. We have been best friends since we were in the same class in year 7 (age 11) and he even moved in with us in Reading, despite not going to university with us. He is an absolute legend and he is going to be gone for like 6 months. Im glad for him because he will have an awesome time, and tracey is a great girl and i think they are great together + this is his first propper relationship and i think they will really do well on this trip.
From a selfish point of view im going to miss him a lot, and it basically means im on my own for 6 months. All my friends are off all over the country at the moment and tom was the closest in London. Basically i need to start making some new friends lol. So if you live in Kent or London and you wanna hang out, let me know. If you live further away and you want to hang out, it will have to involve you coming to kent/london as thats about the limit of my money haha but your equally welcome!
Thats tom and Tracey and me out raving like we do best. Seriously i need rave buddies because all my rave friends have gone AWOL. Will you go raving with me and listen to me telling you i love you and that we 'get each other' on a level most people dont get each other? if so lets go raving
Oh and isnt this the most uplifting song ever?
Oh and if anyone wants to gift me Modern Warfare 2 on Steam then i wont stop you, and i will probably love you long time.
Also i fucking love this remix, i love florance and the machine and this is a bit too funky.
