An interesting couple of days, some good and bad happenings. My mistake from the end of last week was repeated again, which really isn't good. I'm such a fucking weakwilled moron. I've slowly been growing in awareness over the past couple of days that I'm the one in control of my life. That sounds like such a simple and obvious statement to make but to me it's actually quite a revelation. Unless I make an effort to stay in control and direct myself I have a strong tendency to coast along and move through the path of least resistance, and to be honest that's probably what's landed me in the situation I'm in right now. Time to take action, folks.
So that's quite positive in a sort of negative way. What is completely positive, however, is that I may now have someone to move to Leeds with. One of my mates (also called Matt, just to confuse everyone) wants out of Blackpool as well and if he can earn enough cash in the next few months he's happy to pick Leeds as his next destination. That would be very cool, since the price of inner-city single-person accomodation in Britian is absolutely ridiculous. It would literally be cutting my living costs in half for when I get there. Very good indeed. It worries me that I always end up living with guys called Matt, however. Some kind of weird convergence, or just slightly irritating inconvenience?
Decided to treat myself yesterday, and bought myself some new shoes (new shoes?) - Airwalk skaties. They were quite cheap at 35, have an excellent grip and look good in a monochrome kind of way. Those last two statements could apply to me on a good day. Also got a new wallet and a new Killing Joke shirt. Ah, how I love payday. Except when it also signifies bills to be paid.
Watched 'The League Of Gentlemen' far too much over the past few days. I now want to build my own Maxi Power car.

And let me know if the move to Leeds comes off mate - you're more than welcome to come for a few bevvies at various rock clubs/olde worlde pubs with me and my fellow assorted miscreants, freaks, misfits and comrades in misadventure which comprise my drinking companions here.
Silly.
And don't worry about complaining!
I wish I were moving to Leeds.
