Well my 'weekend' of Thursday and Friday has come and gone and I'm faced with the long trudge of a week back to when I can go out, dance around like a fool and so forth. My routine is so unbelievably dull. I wish I didn't complain so much, and I wish I had the dynamism within me to sort some of this out. I suppose I do, it's just a matter of application.
Typing this is actually quite painful, since I have really bad chemical burns on the ends of my fingers and thumbs. They must be from work, as I've had them since I started there. For ages I thought it was the lipstick remover fluid (ah irony, how you mock me) and so stopped using it. But they're back now - really badly. My fingers are cracked and bleeding and all in all not very fun. I've acquired some barrier cream so hopefully it'll disappear a bit. Getting quite distracting and annoying at this point.
~thinks of other news~
I may actually be getting another job, although whether it'll be additional or a replacement remains to be seen. One of my friends washes cars at a car dealership for 5 an hour, cash in hand. Which is much better than what I'm on right now, added to the fact that he says it's pretty damn easy. And he says he can probably get me something there. So yeah, what I did after my Archaeology degree - pulled pints and washed cars. What a valuable use of all my learning. But hey, it's not like it makes me feel the last 3 years of my life were a complete waste. Right?
My Halloween costume is also sorted now. Having abandoned my Wolverine designs upon determining the low possibility of getting some form of adamantium claws sorted in a week, I've now settled on... some sort of random Victorian gentlemen. A magician or something, I don't know. The great part of it is that I already own most of the clothes. A shortlist; black silk shirt, black tie, black trousers, an orange and black waistcoat of unusual design (it's sort of Escher on acid - spirals cutting through each other) and a halflength black duster jacket. I may also get my hands on a top hat and cane to complete the illusion. A picture will be forthcoming.

Not only do I have a place to stay after this gig tonight but I actually have a bed to sleep in not just a floor to sleep on!
Anyways, have a good 'un - oh yeah, just realised as well, your gig's tonight, innit? Seeing as you'll probably be reading this afterwards, hope it went well mate.
