I've been tagged by my most beloved @ivylina to share my top 3 go-to movies with all of you.
Here we go!
1. The lord of the rings trilogy
I had a phase when i was 16 when everyday after school i sat down and watched all three movies. It went on for three weeks or so until i got a job that made me spend my afternoons selling booze to minors. Still, i love watching Frodo on his incredible journey and i feel like everytime i watch one of the movies i learn something i didn't notice before <3
2. Leon the professional
Oh my. How i love this film with all my heart and soul. I can't even begin to describe what it means to me; this fascinating relationship between Mathilda and Leon, the responsibility they take for each other, the dynamics, the soundtrack... I guess I'll never stop looking for my personal Leon.
3. (Wow this list is WAY too short) Life of David Gayle
As a raging anti death penalty person (i wrote my first essay on the subject when i was 13) this is something that satisfies me deep down in the political area of my brain. I hate nothing mire than injustice and moral double standards and this movie, even tho it's not a true story, manages to casually rub in our faces how easy it actually is to be innocently condemned to death. Of course i am also furiously in love with Kevin Spacey and Kate Winslet, but that's just a bonus.
...now, it'll haunt me till my dying breath that i had to keep fight club out of it but i guess I'll just have to deal with it.
I tag @saystephanieee, @fraise, @madnessphotography, @malibustacy and @maudlin to tell us about their picks on the subject <3
