Yo, @missy @lyxzen @rambo, i just had to do this one.
I've had plenty of embarassing crushes growing up, mostly involving cute lead singers of boybands (Ash from O-Town, nick carter from backstreet boys etc.) or hot rock chicks like P!nk, Avril Lavigne and (not so much rock) X-Tina (i mean, HAVE YOU WATCHED HER "DIRRTY"-VIDEO?!??!)
However, these crushes always passed after a few months, just like my shoe size and favorite color would be changing.
But the one person that truly stuck in my heart and head is no other than Eminem! I got a "Lose yourself" CD from my older brother when i was 7 and for a whole week i did nothing but listen to this song, learning the lyrics by heart and being a real pain-in-the-ears to my mom. I scratched together all the money in my piggy bank the next week and but his album. I was such a big fan amd so truly in love with this man that even the kids in my class started calling me "eminem" for a few weeks.
When i was 9 i was allowed to watch "8 mile". It was exactly what i'd needed to become totally obsessed, i even wrote the poor guy a letter once in which i asked him to adopt me...(hey Em, if you read this, I'D STILL GO FOR IT!!).
Years passed and Marshall Mathers was always as much a father figure as a wet dream from far, far away (bit awkward, i know, but we love ourselves some daddy issues, don't we?), up to know, when i still listen to at least one of his songs every day - try "Renegade" on your way to work and you won't ever take anymore shit from your colleges!
