I don't think most people have any clue what racist theory is, because they fall into that category of those who got to racism and never questioned the idea further. Racist theory has fully and completely been debunked want an example? if they were a different race they would not be able to have kids with us, significant enough genetic differences to call them a different race would mean that mean there will be no offspring. a liger for instance is one a MILLION chance that the gene pairs will line up right and even that has to be between two cats. so no sheep people or dog cats etc different races cannot have children, your half and thier half would not mesh right its that simple and since there are half black half white people and many of them....that debunks racial theory right there
however racial theory is ingrained into our way of life not just the US but everywhere colonialism went (colonialism was a major push on racial theory, that it was white man's burden to bring up the lesser civilized people to civilization) we were as a nation taught to be all American at one time (1930s - ~1965) and THEN to be all inclusive of differences(late 60's to now), the change hasn't fully been realized and in some ass hats may never be. Also this time line is important as in the 60s was when racial theory really started coming under fire and eventually sank, but its effects on a culture are very much evident today.
