I'm thinking happiness is something more than a state of mind. It is something that needs to be practiced, like playing the violin. The more you do it, the better you get at it. So yeah, things are only getting better. Record breaking highs this weekend. And not just the weather.
I've probably been more outgoing this past week than any in five years. I kind of expected people to like me during the week, when I was going around, test driving different cnc machines. Lots of pushing the limits. Like at the chili party last Saturday night. But no one there was fake. People just baring their souls (and bodies) with one another. There are some very cool people in SGNC. Man, I have totally been missing out it seems.
That party was over the top!
So I was smokin' one heading back to Charlotte yesterday and it was sunny and warm, and I was listening to this:
which is SO fucking good. If ever there was a Def Tones song worthy to be played at a graduation or wedding it has to be that moving ballad "Xerces," track number 7. To be honest, when I first heard them I remarked that they ought to call themselves "Tone Deaf," but now they are a favorite.
