I'm used to being the weirdest guy in the room. My fingers feel icy even at only 45 degrees because they've been frostbitten, and apparently the capillaries don't regenerate. I see a barber shop pole and I'm thinking of the onsrud diamond 4-flute corrugated compression bit, spinning at 30,000 a minute, flowing like a hot knife through butter in 2" thick mahogany. I just got off a boat site, where many DIY types hang out. I read how a friend (internet) of mine was once again pushing the use of ethylene glycol to prevent rot in old wooden boats, how he'd amazed many doctors of it's effectiveness in treating nail fungus, and even his urologist, when it cured a case of balanophosphitis, in which the only cure, apparently, was castration. I walk past my lawn tractor, and smile. I had fixed an annoying problem this spring with the hydrostatic acceleration pedal, which I just now noticed it's being recalled for.

That's a mighty fine cutting board you've got in your picture journal... I was thinking about it tonight while making some black pepper and cayenne taglialini...
If you don't have a pasta maker yet... you should put it on your wish list...
It's a really amazing thing to turn flour and eggs into this delicate, thin, light as air pasta...
Can't wait until tomorrow to try some...
