crazy week.
i started on monday, the 17th. things were going great and melissa and i got along great, and i thought that was awesome because she was my supervisor and the person i'd be dealing with the most.
wednesday, she was asked to stay home because of this crazy drama with a collection agency calling the company asking for her saying they owe 1700.
thursday, they tell her that friday is her last day.
20 minutes later they call her in and tell her she needs to leave right now.
i had to help the 2 guys that fired her and herself carry her stuff down to her car. most akward elevator ride ever.
they said another company was moving in, and her job was being replaced.
then they uncovered the company credit card statements which showed her completely abusing it with personal charges. plus other things they kept under wraps. (i only know this because the statement was left on my desk by one of the owners, and i couldnt help but peek while they werent looking)
i was worried. . after her being sent home she called me and kept telling me to watch my back because she heard they were going to replace me. i was scared and confused and eventually asked tom (owner) if i should be worried. he assured me that i shouldnt. yesterday matt (production manager) came and talked to me, asked me h ow things were going and when i didnt look too enthusiastic, we talked about whats going on and how weird it must be for me. then he told me that i should know that tom is really excited about me being here, and i really do have nothing to worry about.. and the fact that cuderm (company moving in) is coming, was sort of a white lie so that not everyone had to know the inner gossip of why she had to be fired.
i'm so glad that it was cleared up before the weekend.
and to end the week? a beer meeting with everyone, sitting around laughing with all the employees drinking beer. which happens every friday night apparently.
thats all i feel like writing for now.. but next episode: room mate drama.
